Madrid Protocol and International Trademark
Generally the first step is to register a UK or EU trade mark. Then it depends on where else you are going to promote your business as to whether we would register for you using the Madrid Protocol or just file directly. We automatically discuss international trade marking with clients once we begin the UK or EU work because the time to do trade mark searches in other countries is before we file the UK or EU trade mark application.
International trade marking
As trade marks are territorial they should be registered in the countries in which you do business. We register trade marks in most countries worldwide, using a Madrid Protocol application where appropriate, or by making a direct application through foreign agents.
