White Label Contracts

Whenever one party provides a product or service to another party without being identified as the source of those products or services the arrangement requires a white label agreement.

Certain internet business arrangements involve an outsourcing model whereby a separate company actually makes the product or provides the services which are offered by a business.  White labelling allows producers access to a wider market than they would otherwise reach, and allows distributors to offer a wider range of own-branded products or services.

It enables a business to offer a service without having to invest in creating the technology and infrastructure itself.

Sometimes both businesses are identified as providing the product or service, in a joint branding venture.

White labelling is different to affiliate marketing which is a kind of referral agreement, under which the affiliate receives payments from the company running the affiliate scheme if web users visit a website, register with a website, make a purchase on a website or take some other action.
